Ricky

Hello, my name is Ricky, though my pasture pals like to call me Peekaboo Ricky because I can’t help popping my head around corners or over fences just to see what’s going on! I’m a bright bay Thoroughbred gelding, standing 15 hands tall, born right here in the Bluegrass of Kentucky on May 27, 2023. My dam is the beautiful Donya, and I was her very last foal.

Life started fast and full of love. Mom had already traveled some hard roads before I came along, but she raised me strong and curious. When we first stepped off the trailer together at Mane Characters, everything felt brand-new. Right away I met Forever Jenny (the boss lady who keeps the whole herd in line), Divella Bella, and a wonderful crew of mares who decided I was their special project. Recently, Misty joined our group, and we all accepted her quickly, with Divella the perfect welcome wagon! I’ve got my own big pasture, endless hay, freedom to play and roll, and the best part, my mom is just a short walk away. No more uncertainty, just green fields, sunshine, and a whole sanctuary family cheering for every happy day. Every horse, a tale to tell. Every tale, a Mane Character. And mine is just getting started, full of sunshine and safety at last.
