Hello, my name is Miss Tapizar, but everyone here calls me Misty. I’m a dark bay Thoroughbred mare, 16.1 hands of elegance, born March 20, 2016, in New York. My sire is Tapizar and my dam is Sunny Morning by Tale of the Cat, a pedigree that gave me this flashy look and high head carriage.
My early story wasn’t kind. As a young horse I was sent far away to race in Puerto Rico, and after my track days I ended up neglected in a filthy stall for years, growing thinner and more hopeless. I was rescued through the dedicated work of CTA and brought all the way to Mane Characters. The journey was long, but the moment I stepped into my new pasture I knew I was finally safe.
Recently, after healing a bit in my own space, I joined Ricky, Divella Bella, and Forever Jenny. They accepted me very fast, Divella was especially welcoming! I’ve filled out, my coat shines, and my spirit is back. Spirit Seeker even has a little crush on me and bangs on the fence to get my attention (I’m playing hard to get!). From a dark stall in Puerto Rico to wide-open Kentucky pastures with friends who love me, this is the life I always dreamed of and I’m proud to be a Mane Character. Every day here feels like a gift.

While Miss Tapizar resided in Puerto Rico, on the backside of the track, neglected and hungry, we've heard stories about strangers who took pity on her as they walked past her and stopped to give her food. We're so thankful for that kindness.
